Newly divorced NETFLIX star Julia Haart, 52, has invented her very own VIBRATOR brand

My Unorthodox Life star Julia Haart has struck a low blow against her ex-husband Silvio Scaglia by criticizing his skills in the bedroom – while announcing the launch of her own vibrator.

The 52-year-old – who spent the first 40 years of her life living within an incredibly strict Orthodox community – has been incredibly outspoken about sex positivity since fleeing her ultra-conservative religion, and is now taking that ethos one step further by designing her own sex toy.

According to Julia, she boasts unique expertise in the field because she has had to ‘depend on external help for many years’ during her marriage to Scaglia, 64, with whom she is in the midst of a bitter divorce.

Julia will follow in the footsteps of a growing list of celebrities, including Gwyneth Paltrow and Cara Delevingne, who have attempted to remove the stigma surrounding vibrators, although the Netflix star and businesswoman tells DailyMail.com that she believes her sex toy will revolutionize the industry.

Joking that the vibrators currently available on the market ‘don’t do s*** for me’, Julia explained: ‘For someone like me, who has been using a vibrator, forever, for 20 years, it doesn’t really do much.’

‘The [vibrators on the market at the moment] have two triple A batteries, or you have to charge them and they go out in 45 minutes.’

‘It’s great for new people or novices, but for someone like me, I need the power of four double A batteries, that you only get from the ones attached to the penises.’

Many of the vibrators that have been launched by other stars – including Goop founder Gwyneth, 50, focus on a small, discreet design, however Julia says that her version is going to maximize power over subtlety.

‘This [new vibrator] is my invention because my problem is: the ones that are small, that don’t have men’s appendages attached to them, they are more chic looking…but they’re very weak,’ she continued.

‘It doesn’t do s**t for me. So I’ve invented the first-ever vibrator that is as powerful as the one attached to the penis, except it’s just clitoral stimulation.’

During the first two seasons of her Netflix show, Julia has proven herself to be incredibly open when it comes to sex positivity, regularly chatting with her kids about their own sex lives.

And when it comes to her newest venture, she’s also enlisted the help of her children, who she says have been throwing different name suggestions into the ring.

Julia joins a growing list of celebrities who have touted sex toys in recent years – with everyone from Gwyneth Paltrow (left) to Cara Delevingne (right) promoting the use of vibrators

‘I haven’t named it yet but my son [Schlomo] had a great idea; “Becumming Haart”,  she laughed.

Reality star Julia was originally called Talia Leibov before she left her husband and took three of her four children Bathsheva, 30, Miriam, 23, and Schlomo, 27,  away from their Hasidic Jewish community to break free from the shackles of the community’s religious conventions.

Having always dreamed of working in fashion, Julia endeavored to pursue a career in that field, going from strength-to-strength in the ten years since she moved away from her Hasidic Jewish enclave in Monsey, New York.

Although she is happy to joke about her new vibrator business, Julia has been candid over the years about how sex toys played an integral role in helping her to discover her sexuality, after decades of living in a community that shied away from any kind of sexual pleasure.

‘The first orgasm I had was at age 35 — with a vibrator, after 16 years of marriage’ she told The Post in 2021. ‘I never heard of an orgasm, let alone a vibrator.’

Haart starred in the popular Netflix series last year, which focused on her rise in the fashion industry after she left her strict religious household at age 42

Once the preserve of sleazy back street adults stores, the sex toy industry has gone mainstream in recent years becoming a multi-billion dollar industry.

A slew of celebrities, including singer Lily Allen and actress Dakota Johnson, have promoted the use of sex toys in recent years.

However, it was Oscar winning actress Gwyneth who normalized sex toy usage among the yummy mommy set, regularly touting vibrators of all shapes and sizes via her Goop brand – which also boasts its own sex toy designs.

Adding to sex toys going mainstream, Gwyneth was one of the first lifestyle platforms to categorize sex toys under the category ‘wellness’ rather than ‘adult toys’.

British model Cara also briefly forayed into the sex toy industry as an co-owner and creative director of sex toy brand, Lora DiCarlo.

Cara made much of the company’s work with the Oregon State University’s Robotics & Engineering Lab, who helped design the Lora Di Carlo sex toys.

During her promotion tour for her sex toy, Cara said: ‘The relationship you have with yourself is the most important one in the world. And this is not just to do with pleasuring yourself, but it’s about exploration and loving yourself,’

Despite Cara’s passionate attempt to promote her sex toy less than one year later the award winning company abruptly closed down without explanation, leaving orders unfulfilled before the company filed for bankruptcy.

With the stage sex for more sex positivity in Hollywood, Julia is hoping that her business expertise from past ventures will help her to ensure her own vibrator launch is nothing but a lucrative success – while enabling her to establish her own brand away from those that she launched with her ex.

After quitting her Jewish faith, Julia found love again in New York City with La Perla owner Silvio, whom she wed in 2019.

Soon after, Silvio named Julia as the CEO of his global management company, Elite World Group, which represents more than 4,000 models, actors, singers, and artists.

However, soon after the cameras stopped rolling on the first season of their hit Netflix show, the couple’s marriage ran into a storm of scandal when it was revealed that they were splitting.

The pair initially released a statement saying that they were working towards an amicable separation – however within days, their divorce proceedings had descended into a furious war of words, with Julia accusing her ex-husband of suddenly ousting her from Elite World Group, while claiming that he had blindsided her with the divorce.

She also alleged in legal documents that Scaglia had embarked on a ‘media campaign to destroy’ both her personal and professional reputation.

Among the many accusations the Italian businessman leveled against the woman he once claimed to love were claims that she misappropriated more than $850,000 of company funds and held on to company property including a luxury bespoke Bentley.

Across several press releases between February and July 2022 Scaglia claimed he was ‘days away from requesting [Julia’s] arrest’ and depicted her as a ‘con artist’ who had set out to meet, entrap and ‘dupe’ him into falling in love with her.

In a March 2022 press release he announced that he was retaining well known criminal attorney, Benjamin Brafman, to ‘conduct a thorough investigation of Ms Haart as to whether she has violated any federal, state, or local criminal laws’.

Julia has been throwing herself into her work and has made multiple public appearances in the wake of her self-proclaimed billionaire ex’s attempts evict her from her Tribeca abode.

Last week, DailyMail.com revealed that Scaglia failed in his bid to have Julia thrown out of the luxury Manhattan apartment that was once their marital home.

In an affidavit filed earlier this year, the fashion designer claimed Scaglia had ‘cried poverty’ in a bid to have her ejected from the $70million penthouse apartment in Tribeca.

Scaglia had sought to force the sale of the property on the grounds that Elite World Group (EWG) – the company he and Julia once built and ran together – was in such ‘distress’ that its future depended on releasing those funds.

Julia hit back accusing him of ‘draining the coffers’ with ‘highly reckless spending.’

In a legal judgment handed down in New York’s Supreme Court last week, and obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com, Julia won her fight to stay in her home.

Scaglia lost his bid to put the apartment on the market or to have her pay monthly costs which he places at close to, $170,000.
